Job Summary

The Shuttles and Transportation Driver will provide safe and efficient transportation for all Shuttles and Transportation operations, including fixed shuttle lines, RIDES, and TapRide operations. This role requires a friendly personality with excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient transportation for all Shuttles and Transportation operations
  • Operate a motor vehicle in a non-smoking environment
  • Assist management with general operational support as assigned
  • Maintain a current valid and unrestricted Driver's License (Class D)
  • Develop basic geographic knowledge of the greater New Orleans area, including streets and places of interest
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and emergency shifts as assigned
  • Quickly learn physical locations of all uptown and downtown campus facilities
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of driving history
  • Meet the Tulane University Motor Vehicle Policy criteria to become authorized as a driver
  • Experience transporting passengers in a university transit operation
