The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care across various healthcare environments within St Anthony Community Hospital. This professional evaluates patient needs, conducts thorough assessments, formulates care strategies, administers prescribed medications, and meticulously maintains medical documentation. The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes and engages in ongoing educational initiatives to enhance nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being
- Create personalized care plans and accurately document patient information
- Involve patients and their families in the care planning process
- Administer treatments and medications in accordance with established nursing protocols
- Utilize specialized medical equipment effectively
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment options
- Engage in Quality Assurance efforts and performance enhancement projects
- Support and mentor junior staff while participating in professional development activities
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have prior nursing experience. A valid RN license and current registration from the relevant state education department are required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, with completion expected within five years of employment. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are mandatory.
