Fondomonte Arizona, LLC is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator Technician to contribute to our innovative agricultural operations. This role is focused on a variety of welding and fabrication tasks involving structural sheet metal products and diverse materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and assemble finished metal products.
- Conduct installation and repair of various machinery and components.
- Utilize welding equipment to join steel components according to layouts, engineering specifications, work orders, or verbal directives.
- Execute welding and fabrication of heavy machinery parts and assemblies to adhere to quality standards and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate work and assist in the welding or fabrication of multi-component assemblies.
- Demonstrate flexibility by cross-training and performing additional job functions as needed.
- Inspect machinery to ensure operational efficiency and report any repair needs to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Safely operate forklifts, hoists, hand tools, grinders, cutting torches, and other equipment relevant to the job.
- Perform hardfacing on skid loader buckets and tillage equipment.
- Repair seeders, spreaders, and other agricultural machinery that may malfunction.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety footwear.
- Monitor machinery for proper usage and temperature levels.
- Weld components in various positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary by the department or shift lead.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints for fabrication.
- Experience in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials; aluminum welding is advantageous.
- Skilled in using cutting torches, grinders, and ironworkers.
- Familiar with measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Knowledgeable in welding principles and techniques.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: Valid welding certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience.
- Strong understanding of welding machinery, electrical tools, and manual equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Work hours may vary based on operational needs, including weekend availability.
- Experience in the agricultural sector is a plus.
