Job Title: System Administrator (Mid Level)

Renu Robotics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-level System and Network Administrator to join our IT team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in System Administration, with a strong foundational understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, ZTNA, and firewall technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with and manage MSP interaction with all below tasks.
  • Provide support for network-related issues, assist with connectivity problems, and escalate more complex issues as needed.
  • Implement network, system, and Azure cloud changes and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Monitor network, system, and Azure cloud performance regularly, report any issues, and help maintain consistent availability.
  • Support both network, desktop, and system administration tasks, contributing to seamless integration and efficient operation of systems, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Provide desktop support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues for end-users.
  • Document configurations and changes for networks, systems, and Azure cloud environments, ensuring accurate records of all modifications.
  • Participate in security tasks, including firewall configuration, VPN setups, security spot checks, and Azure security management.
  • Respond to network, system, and desktop support emergencies, contributing to 24/7 uptime.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT-related fields with a focus on Networking, Desktop Support, System Administration, and Cloud Administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, ZNTA, and firewall technologies.
  • Experience with network diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methods.
  • Proficiency in system administration tasks, including managing Windows and Linux servers.
  • Experience with Azure cloud management, including virtual machines, storage, and networking within Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows Server management tools.
  • Basic understanding of security practices, including firewall configuration and VPN setups.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell) for system and network management.
  • Experience with Python scripting or other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or CompTIA Network+.
