About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team at Guidepost Montessori. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and understand the individual needs of each child, providing personalized support and guidance to ensure their physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being.
  • Prepare and maintain a beautiful and orderly environment that promotes trust, exploration, and deep learning, while encouraging independence and self-confidence.
  • Cultivate a sense of community and respect among children, parents, and staff, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote practical life skills, language, and social skills, while encouraging children to take ownership of their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to provide a comprehensive and supportive learning experience for each child.
Requirements
  • Interest in pursuing certified Montessori training through our Prepared Montessorian Institute (fully-sponsored) or previous Montessori diploma.
  • Experience working with children aged 0-3 in a group setting, such as daycare, aftercare, or nursery.
  • Familiarity with child-led philosophies, such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori, and/or willingness to learn more.
  • 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
