The Behavioral Health Consultant plays a vital role in the primary care treatment team at TrueCare. This position involves identifying, triaging, and managing primary care patients with medical and behavioral health issues. The ideal candidate will provide skill training through psycho-education and patient education strategies, and develop specific behavioral/therapeutic treatment plans for patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating mental disorders and psychosocial problems.
- Detect 'at risk' patients and assess the clinical status of patients referred by the primary care provider.
- Develop and implement behavioral/therapeutic treatment plans for patients.
- Provide skill training through psycho-education and patient education strategies.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or PhD/PsyD in Psychology from an accredited program.
- Licensed in California as an LCSW, Psychologist, LMFT, LPCC.
- At least two (2) years experience providing psychotherapy (CBT based models preferred) with children, adults, and adolescents.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
