Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Infant Mental Health/Home-based Therapist to join our team at America's Community Council. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with program staff and community resources to provide comprehensive services to infants and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and facilitate person-centered planning to identify the needs of infants and their families.
  • Provide support and crisis intervention to infants and their families, promoting a strong parent-infant relationship.
  • Coordinate and refer support services to parents, ensuring they receive the necessary resources to thrive.
  • Deliver home-based therapeutic services, tailored to the unique needs of each family.
  • Facilitate support groups as needed, fostering a sense of community and connection among families.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client interactions and progress.
  • Maintain client files in order and up-to-date, adhering to agency standards.
  • Participate in individual and group supervision, engaging in ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Attend all agency and department meetings as required, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work or an equivalent degree in a field related to mental health from an accredited college or university.
  • Current registration to practice clinical work from the State of Michigan Department of Licensing is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background in early childhood development or a basic understanding of parent-infant dynamics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, systems applications, and other office equipment is essential.
