Job Summary:

UF Health is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures, including 2-dimensional and M-mode echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiogram, arterial Doppler/pressures, and exercise/dobutamine stress echo.
• Provide age-specific care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the testing process.
• Assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive procedures, providing support and ensuring the smooth execution of tests.
• Maintain accurate records of patient data, including vital signs, test results, and any notable observations or concerns.
• Collaborate with our medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans, providing valuable insights and recommendations as needed.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, provided by the American Heart Association (AHA), within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Echocardiography and Doppler vascular studies with stress testing and ECG background.
• 1-3 years of experience performing echocardiograms, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
