Overview:
Join the dedicated team at Arkansas Children's Hospital, where we focus on providing exceptional care for our young patients. This position is suitable for new graduates or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with limited experience.

The LPN plays a crucial role in gathering patient and family information to support the Registered Nurse in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

The LPN is responsible for delivering safe and effective care to assigned patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.


Key Information:

Required Education:
Completion of an accredited nursing program as per state regulations.

Work Experience:
No prior experience is necessary in a related field.

Required Certifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse certification from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN)

Responsibilities:

1. Collect and document patient and family data to identify clinical, educational, psychosocial, and cultural needs, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.

2. Contribute to the development of the patient care plan, taking into account the diverse needs of patients while collaborating with other healthcare professionals as necessary.

3. Organize and prioritize patient care tasks to optimize time and resource management.

4. Execute routine patient care activities and administer medications safely and efficiently, while being prepared to respond to emergencies.

5. Tailor nursing interventions to address specific patient needs and adjust care plans as required.

6. Reassess and modify care plans in partnership with the Registered Nurse.

7. Perform additional duties as assigned.
