Procurement Leader

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for leading the purchasing team and overseeing all procurement activities within the USA.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Plan and oversee the work of all buyers, on-site and off-site.
- Buyer Development: Train and develop buyers in all US locations.
- Supplier Management: Work with suppliers to ensure the optimum combination of price, quality, and lead time is obtained for all items/services purchases.
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish strategic partnership agreements for key suppliers.
- Purchasing Support: Support all purchasing activities such as procurement, component issues, and material returns.
- Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure required performance is achieved and continuously improved.
- Component Visibility: Provide visibility on components on order status/receipt to all internal stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Work in collaboration with other department employees and the Global Director of Supply Chain to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5 years in a purchasing or procurement-related role, 2 years in a Managerial or Supervisory role with direct reports.
- Skills: Experience working in an ERP/MRP/APS environment, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company structure.
