Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to children and adolescents with mental health needs, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort to patients and their families.
- Deliver and accurately document direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
- Safely administer prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
- Participate in shared governance and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible for compact state licensure.
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
- 12-24 months of RN experience for Clinical II, 3 years of clinical experience for Clinical III.
- Academic healthcare experience and experience with similar patient populations preferred.
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Certification in specialty area for Clinical III.
The Clinical Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The ability to handle multiple priorities, work in a noisy environment, and maintain a steady pace is essential.
