Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician role at Extended Stay America is a critical position that requires a dedicated individual committed to delivering exceptional service and ensuring a top-notch experience for guests and associates. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining property equipment, keeping premises in excellent condition, and ensuring guest rooms are well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to guests and associates at all times, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Complete tasks independently and in compliance with company guidelines, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist guests promptly and follow up on requests as needed, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Perform cleaning duties outlined in the Operations Manual to maintain premises, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and associates.
  • Repair items listed on work orders efficiently, utilizing technical skills and knowledge to resolve issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections as required, identifying potential issues and taking proactive measures to prevent equipment failures.
  • Follow the Operations Manual schedule daily to meet company standards, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records as outlined in the Operations Manual, providing timely and accurate reporting.
  • Organize maintenance tools and keep work areas clean and safe, adhering to company safety standards.
  • Maintain boiler rooms, electric rooms, and other areas according to standards, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure all fire safety equipment is operational and up-to-date, adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Adhere to Extended Stay America safety and security policies, including OSHA and ADA regulations, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Assist with pool and spa maintenance per company guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests.
  • Handle emergencies and vendor communication as directed by management, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues promptly and efficiently.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with hotel cleaning tasks as needed, supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the hotel, ensuring a positive experience for guests and associates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and adaptability.
