Job Description

The Child and Youth Services Nurse plays a vital role in providing health support services in CYS programs. This Regular Full-Time position with the US Army's Child and Youth Services offers an estimated salary of $100,000 - $130,000 per annum, based on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides health support services in CYS programs, coordinating training for staff and serving as a liaison between CYS and the installation Community Health Nurse.
  • Develops and implements health-related training programs for staff, providers, volunteers, and parents.
  • Conducts regular health and sanitation inspections of CYS Services programs using Army standardized checklists.
  • Supports facilities and homes in maintaining appropriate standards for condition, health, and sanitation.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
  • Active, current registration as a professional nurse (RN) in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level, or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education or a master's degree in the field of nursing.
