Job Summary:

Cumberland County, NC is seeking a skilled Social Services Caseworker to join our team. As a caseworker, you will be responsible for determining the eligibility of applicants and recipients for various benefit programs, including Adult Medicaid, Long Term Care Medicaid, Special Assistance, PACE, and the Community Alternative Program (CAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine eligibility for applicants and recipients of various benefit programs
  • Implement policies and procedures for all programs in accordance with timeframes and guidelines set by NC Medicaid policy
  • Compute varied and complex budgeting situations
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and applicants

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or Eligibility Specialist in a Social Services office
  • Knowledge of Adult Medicaid programs and policies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
