Job Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic

Location: Iwakuni MCAS

Job Type: Direct Hire - 1 to 3 year program

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join our team at Iwakuni MCAS. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing O-Level Corrosion control on 5th generation Fighter Jets (F 35 Aircraft). Your duties will include:

  • Performing Outer Mold Line (OML) inspections, coating system repair, and corrosion control inspections.
  • Coordinating maintenance efforts with the Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) to ensure timely return of aircraft to mission capable status.
  • Planning and coordinating shop workload and dispatching personnel as required.
  • Ensuring that assigned personnel have access to and use adequate technical data during all phases of aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities:

As an Aircraft Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring personnel are trained and practice good housekeeping, tool control, supply disciplines, FOD awareness/prevention, proper disposal of materials, and safety at all times.
  • Monitoring the status of aircraft and coordinating efforts with subordinate personnel, and MOC.
  • Monitoring QC reports and ensuring that corrective measures are implemented to improve maintenance quality and prevent the development of adverse trends.
  • Conducting inspections of aircraft and system maintenance to ensure quality and completeness.
  • Annotating maintenance actions in aircraft records and being proficient in ALIS documentation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current secret clearance.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably with a focus on corrosion control and O-Level inspections.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Proficiency in ALIS documentation and technical data management.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $37/hr to $42/hr, depending on ratings, aircraft, and experience. Additionally, you will receive:

  • A $8,500 relocation bonus paid out on first payroll.
  • A $5,000 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment.
  • 14 Days of initial housing.
  • 5 Paid Floating Holidays.
  • Able to participate in the company's retirement plan following 90 days of service in accordance with company policy.
