The State of Georgia is seeking a skilled Nurse Trainer to join its team in Savannah. As a key member of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all staff receive top-notch training.

**Job Summary:**

The Nurse Trainer position is responsible for assessing, planning, and coordinating training sessions for DBHDD. Duties include evaluating training and learning outcomes, developing conferences and presentations, identifying training needs, and providing guidance and training to customers or less experienced staff.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Registered Nurse with Bachelor's degree and Georgia License or Nurse Compact Licensure
* Three years of experience in providing educational training or instructional services to hospital staff
* Basic computer skills- Microsoft Office Suite with particular emphasis in creating Power Point presentations
* Ability to become Certified Safety Care Instructor without limitations
* Physical ability to bend, lift, twist and stand for increased amounts of time.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills- with both small and large audiences
* Able to travel for training purposes
* Maintain records and computerized data bases for training purposes
