Display Quality Engineer

At Apple, we're revolutionizing the world of technology, and we're looking for a talented Display Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Display Quality Team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality display technologies for our award-winning Apple products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality systems to ensure scalable product delivery
  • Review product and process design documents to ensure alignment with process capability and yield targets
  • Present timely reports on product yield performance and specification convergence status, drive Failure Analysis (FA), and implement corrective actions
Supplier Execution:
  • Review supplier quality control flows, in-process quality control systems, and incoming/outgoing product quality control plans to identify shortfalls and implement corrective actions
  • Work with supplier process and quality teams to develop process exercises, secure resources, and conduct Failure Analysis to improve yield and meet program goals
  • Assess supplier production readiness to support build events and production ramp, identifying potential execution issues and providing recommendations to mitigate risk
  • Monitor supplier process performance and yield loss at different process nodes to prevent quality issues
Process Development:
  • Assess technology risks and plan validation exercises to demonstrate initial feasibility and manufacturing capability
  • Review progress of development activities at supplier sites and serve as a point of escalation for critical process-related issues, assigning follow-up action items to drive ongoing improvements for process capability
  • Analyze test and validation results to provide technical recommendations for manufacturing

International travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with in-depth technical knowledge and a proven track record in display/sensor technologies, electrical, optical, and/or semiconductor processes
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant engineering degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to drive vendor quality improvements and familiarity with quality control and monitoring systems
  • Capability to execute DOE, SPC, failure analysis, and yield improvement
