Position Title: Project Technician I Status: Full-time/Exempt
Reports to: Manager of Professional Services Work Schedule: Flexible within standard operational hours
Role Summary: A versatile Communications and Security Technician who undertakes various responsibilities across multiple domains; skill sets may vary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily Tier I and II support for both internal and external users
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Identify and relay technology solutions and enhancements to address business requirements to Project Engineers or the Manager
- Assist with project tasks and follow up to ensure timely progress; support Project Engineers in the installation of equipment and configuration of systems and devices
- Monitor and configure infrastructure and systems
- Install, configure, test, and maintain communications and IP security systems, as well as Access Control Systems
- Proactively pursue the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability for both internal and external clients
- Work with IP-based communications and security systems
- Collaborate with Project Engineers and other IT personnel to resolve issues for clients
- Assist Project Engineers and IT staff with document management tasks
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of technology hardware
- Perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary
Qualifications:
- Two-year college degree or industry certification required
- 1+ years of documented technology or installation experience
- Proficiency in Office applications, particularly Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Familiarity with IT terminology (software, hardware, equipment/supplies, networks, telephony, etc.)
- Basic understanding of IP Security Cameras and Access Control Systems
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to outstanding customer service
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and operate with minimal supervision
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required
- Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) required
