Research OpportunitiesThe Eddleman Quantum Institute at UCI includes faculty in the Departments of Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. The purpose of the EQI is to stimulate the discovery of new quantum phenomena in a broad range of scientific endeavors and to motivate future generations of quantum scientists through educational and outreach activities.
ResponsibilitiesThe postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to interact strongly with at least two of the EQI faculty and contribute to the development of collaborative research in their areas. The researcher will also engage in the broader educational and outreach activities of EQI.
QualificationsCandidates must possess a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantum science and exceptional promise as a future leader in this area.
Application RequirementsApplicants should submit a current CV with a publication list, a three-page research plan that outlines the collaborative research project of the Applicant and two EQI co-sponsors, and at least two letters of reference reflecting on their research. A joint letter of recommendation from the UCI EQI faculty co-sponsors will be required later in the process from candidates selected for an interview.
