Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Substation EIT to join our team. As a key member of our electrical design team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs, calculations, and reports for electrical substations. You will work under the direction of project managers and project engineers to develop drawings, designs, and specifications for substation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for electrical substations.
  • Develop design deliverables, including one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, and substation physical layouts.
  • Perform site visits during the design, construction, and as-built phases of projects.
  • Collaborate with designers and CADD technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes, and project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills in electrical design and engineering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • EIT certification (or ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • EIT certification.
  • Highly proficient in using Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with electrical design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
