About the Job

Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Stepdown RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Plan Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Implement and Evaluate Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient responses. Evaluate the effectiveness of care and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during challenging times.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in the Operating Room or ICU.
  • Certifications: BLS certification is required. Additional certifications, such as CCRN or CNOR, are preferred.
