We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Metalworks Inc. as a key contributor to our production process.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products while meeting production goals. This will involve:
- Verifying product quality by reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements.
- Determining the most suitable welding equipment or method for each task.
- Operating angle grinders to prepare and finish welded parts.
- Aligning components using fixtures, calipers, and rulers, and clamping pieces in place.
- Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
- Setting up and operating Robotic Welding cells.
- Providing feedback to improve productivity and quality.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need:
- Experience with MIG and/or TIG equipment.
- Proficiency in using electrical or manual tools, such as saws, squares, and calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- AAS in Welding Technology or two years of welding experience.
- AWS D1.1 & AWS D1.3 certification preferred.
- Proficient in English.
