Job Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a talented Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems that ensure the health and safety of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of IVHM products, ensuring adherence to GE's stringent processes and the DO-178C standard.
  • Continuous Integration and Testing: Oversee continuous software integration and testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Verification: Validate and verify the design and implementation of the system.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify design failures and implement effective solutions to ensure the robustness of IVHM solutions.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an engineering field, with a minimum of 2 years working specifically in a System Engineering role.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Desired Characteristics

  • Leadership and Communication: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Specialized Experience: Experience with DO-178C is highly desirable.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen.
