Job Description and Duties

The Park Aide will provide support for interim events, the State Fair, and work alternate schedules as needed. This may include working weekends, nights, and other non-traditional hours. The incumbent will be required to apply basic knowledge in the area of janitorial and event setup.

The Park Aide will be expected to respond to direction from various sources throughout the facility during and in between events. This may include working with event staff, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful event.

Working Conditions
  • Periodic overtime may be required.
  • May be required to respond after work hours.
  • Operates heavy motorized vehicles.
  • Works at elevated heights.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
  • May be exposed to extreme temperatures, airborne dust, fumes, vapors, chemicals, medical waste, and blood-borne pathogens.
  • Performs other duties requiring high physical demand.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Special Requirements
  • The position requires a valid California Driver's License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • Must be willing to work odd or irregular hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participation in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
