Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Service Technician to join our Water Utilities Department team in Grand Prairie, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting repairs and maintenance of water distribution lines and wastewater lines, operating various gas/hydraulic equipment, and ensuring safe work zones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs to water lines, sewer lines, and water production systems components
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including pull down maintenance and CCTV inspections
  • Install sewer and water taps, and conduct repairs to hydrants and valves
  • Interact with other City employees and citizens, and respond to emergency calls
Requirements
  • 2 years of related experience in conducting repairs and maintenance of water distribution lines and wastewater lines
  • Valid Class A Driver's License with a tanker endorsement within 30 days of employment
  • Class I Collections License within 6 months and Class C Distribution or Class II Collections License within 30 months of employment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, weekends, and holidays
