We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect crime, and to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system to prevent and respond to emergencies.
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify potential safety risks.
- Respond to accidents, contact emergency services as needed, and administer first aid/CPR if required.
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents.
- Defuse guest/employee disturbances and call for outside assistance if necessary.
- Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents and handle all interruptions and complaints.
- Resolve safety hazard situations and escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation.
- Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and call for assistance using proper code responses.
- Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report and maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence, and conduct interviews with relevant parties.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
