Job Summary

Ascension Sacred Heart is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team in Panama City, Florida. As a key member of our Invasive Cardiology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.

Prepare patients for procedures, reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning, shaving, and numbing testing sites as necessary.

Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognizing recording errors and artifacts and taking appropriate action.

Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings in patient condition.

Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area, ensuring proper functioning and reporting potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, Certified Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
