Job Summary:

As a Histology Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality tissue preparations for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will ensure that tissue specimens are processed, embedded, cut, and stained accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and staining.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and staining quality of slides.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment related to tissue preparation and storage.
  • Recognize and report any issues that may affect the accuracy or quality of results.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals safely and follow established protocols.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Histotechnology or equivalent registry.
  • Graduate of an accredited histology program.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
