The Director of Strategy Planning and Decision Support is a key leadership position at University Medical Center of El Paso, responsible for spearheading the organization's strategic planning and decision-making processes. This role focuses on developing and implementing strategies to position the organization for success in the El Paso and Hudspeth Region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the health plan strategic planning process and manage project progress throughout its life cycle.
- Collaborate with the Hospital District Chief Strategy Officer and UMC Strategic Management department to ensure consistency between the overall El Paso County Hospital District and University Medical Center of El Paso Strategic Plan.
- Utilize advanced analytics and data management to inform senior leadership decisions and drive business outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care, streamline operations, and improve financial performance.
- Five years of experience in strategic management or business development, preferably in a healthcare or managed care setting.
- A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Service, or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to express ideas fearlessly and vision innovative strategies that align with the organization's mission and vision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
- Strong intra-personal skills to collaborate with multi-functional teams and different levels of employees and leaders.
- Knowledge of strategic planning and an extended-term strategic outlook.
- Proficiency in computer software programs and use of basic office equipment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
