We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and residents in the operating room by selecting, organizing, and passing surgical instruments, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain aseptic technique during all operative procedures, including surgical attire, hand scrub, gowning, gloving, and boundary management.
- Identify breaches in aseptic technique and implement interventions for resolution.
- Perform all phases of reprocessing, including decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, documentation, and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
- Minimum completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Certification or re-certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within one month of hire.
- NBSTA Surgical Technologist certification within 1 year of hire.
- At least one year of inpatient Surgical Technologist experience.
- Preferred: one year of Cardiovascular Services experience or open-heart surgery experience.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with variable shifts, including weekends and holidays. Call is required.
