About the Role

Cleveland Clinic's Lutheran Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a New Grad RN, you will participate in a year-long residency program, tailored to your needs and pace, where you will provide direct nursing care, be paired with a coach, and develop clinical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs
  • Provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies and protocols
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability
  • Initiate and/or maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients
  • Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk
  • Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently
  • Comply with established hospital and department personnel policies
  • Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes
  • Document patient information in accordance with established guidelines
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • BSN preferred
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit and department
