Nurse Residency Program Overview

Cleveland Clinic is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our nursing staff. Our Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide new graduate nurses with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in our fast-paced healthcare environment.

Program Highlights
  • One-year residency program with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Weekly check-ins with a dedicated coach to ensure personal and professional goals are met
  • Personal assessments to identify areas for growth and opportunity
  • Opportunities for leadership development and career advancement
Responsibilities
  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Establish and revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need and resource availability
  • Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
