Join Our Team as a World Cultures Educator

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate World Cultures Educator to join our team of exceptional educators. As a World Cultures Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that will work closely with our existing specials department, which includes physical education and music. As a World Cultures Educator, you will be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with your team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
  • Build relationships with families and engage them in their child's education
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field
  • Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in Elementary Education K-6
  • At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
  • Passing a background check, as required by law
Preferred Qualifications
  • Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress) if teaching English Language Arts
  • ESOL Endorsement (or competency coursework in progress)
  • Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom in a relevant grade level
