We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. As a travel nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Current WI RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac care
- Skills with Swans, IABP's, and post-op hearts required
36 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours as needed. 12-hour shifts, with a mix of day and night shifts. Every 2-3 weekends, F/Sa/Sn. Every other holiday.
Unit Information12-bed CICU with a focus on post-op hearts, AMI, and cardiogenic shock. Patient ratio: 2:1 CRRT, 1:1 Impella. Primary case/procedure type: post-op hearts, AMI, cardiogenic shock; frequent cardioversions, lines placed and Dc'd in unit.
