Job Overview

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Project Manager to join our New Orleans office. As part of our continued growth in Louisiana, this role will play a key leadership position in managing a variety of drainage, stormwater, and water resources projects for public clients.

About the Role

This position involves coordinating and collaborating between our Stormwater, Coastal, and Water Resources Design groups. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in Water Resources Engineering, with expertise in watershed modeling and design. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and performing routine to complex engineering work related to watershed modeling and design.
  • Performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, mitigation planning, preparation of design plans, technical specifications, and opinion of probable construction costs of closed systems, open channels, culverts and bridges, and detention ponds.
  • Being the interface with clients and developing strong working relationships through project interaction.


Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Expertise in software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoHMS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-RAS 2D, XP-SWMM or Infoworks, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
