We are seeking a skilled Water Resources Engineering Lead to join our team in New Orleans, LA.

Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to apply the latest technology to help clients solve their most challenging problems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water resources engineering and experience with hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater mitigation, stormwater design, and water and wastewater design.

The ideal candidate will be able to create and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models and other surface water resource issues, conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, modeling, and floodplain delineations using GIS-based engineering and mapping tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-disciplined teams of professionals on large design projects.
  • Develop strong client relationships in a Project Manager and Client Manager role.
  • Perform engineering analysis; develop preliminary and detailed designs of stormwater facilities; and write specifications and construction documents.
  • Manage, lead, execute, and/or provide technical support for resilience, water resources, and hazard mitigation projects within the municipal, regional, and Federal markets.
Requirements
  • B.S. or MS Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or related engineering field), with emphasis in water resources.
  • 5+ years water resources-related experience.
  • LA P.E. License, or ability to obtain a LA PE through comity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hydrology and open channel hydraulics.
  • Knowledge/experience with ESRI Arc GIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic MS Office software.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
