Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care plans to address those needs.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatric settings.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification and knowledge of nursing care principles, practices, diagnosis, and processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
