About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at United Rentals. As a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe maintenance and repair of complex customer-owned equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of work performed (work orders)
  • Upsell and demonstrate complex equipment to customers
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer-owned equipment
  • Assist with equipment and parts delivery
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
  • Must own tools applicable to position
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
