Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic examinations as requested, following routine views as prescribed in the department procedure manual.
  • Assist the radiologist/surgeon during fluoroscopic/CT procedures as requested, if properly trained in this area.
  • Verify patient understanding of the examination process and obtain informed consent for invasive procedures.
  • Document consent for IV contrast and verify pregnancy.
  • Take x-ray, CT, and US exams after department hours, if qualified to do so.
  • Assist in training of students and ancillary personnel.
  • Understand DR equipment and verify exam orders.
Requirements
  • High school graduate.
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state of WV.
  • CT certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of radiographic examinations and procedures requiring contrast agents.
  • Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety.
  • Knowledge of positioning techniques and patient transfer.
