Job Summary

This role provides high-quality patient care and support to promote health and prevent disease under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver general nursing care in accordance with established nursing practice standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of equipment and support the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Collect assessment data, prepare patients for examination, and document clinical information on patient records.
  • Order diagnostic tests as directed by a registered nurse or physician/clinical provider and gather diagnostic tests and/or examine results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment.
  • Schedule procedures and obtain authorizations as necessary.
  • May administer injections or medication, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Current state licensure as an LPN or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • CPR - American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of healthcare experience.
  • State-approved IV course certification.
  • Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process.
  • PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice.
