Job Title: Rotary Die Cutter Helper

Join our team at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) as a Rotary Die Cutter Helper. As a key member of our manufacturing operation, you will play a crucial role in increasing productivity, reducing downtime, and ensuring high-quality products.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the machine operator and supervisor to achieve production goals.
  • Assist in setting up the pre-feeder, printing downs, die cut section, and ink adjustments according to proper techniques.
  • Conduct quality checks before, during, and after each order to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Inspect the machine during operation and notify the operator when acceptable parts are not being produced.
  • Participate in equipment cleanup and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
  • Adhere to 5S Standards in maintaining the shop and equipment.
  • May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for extended periods.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Passion for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Ability to sit, stoop, and bend.
  • Willingness to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work closely with production personnel on a daily basis.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to reduce machine downtime.
