About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our self-storage facility construction projects in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities for new self-storage facilities, from excavation through final construction.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality control, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with building codes.
  • Coordinate daily operations, including project scheduling, material procurement, and crew management.
  • Ensure that the project stays on track, making adjustments as needed to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager to report on milestones, delays, or problems.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, safety inspections, and quality control checklists.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically with ground-up commercial construction projects.
  2. Proven experience in managing self-storage facility construction (or similar large-scale commercial projects).
  3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex construction schedules.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all stakeholders (project managers, architects, subcontractors).
  7. OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications.
  8. Ability to use construction management software and tools for tracking and reporting.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $115,000 per year, based on industry standards in Phoenix, AZ. We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
