Job Summary:
The Solutions Architect is a key member of our IT Department at SHI International Corp. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise solutions and capabilities. As a consultative partner for internal stakeholders, you will focus on understanding their goals and strategies, and map solutions to business outcomes. Your expertise in software programs and business strategies will help maximize productivity and communication. You will design, develop, and implement solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Power Platform and business processes. This position requires expertise in API scalability, reliability, availability, security, and governance needs. You will also have experience with Azure API Management and Azure API gateway, as well as integration of APIs with service bus, data lake, SaaS, and PaaS components. If you have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a strong understanding of Agile practices, including Scrum, this could be the ideal role for you. About the Role:
As a Solutions Architect at SHI International Corp., you will be responsible for demonstrating leadership to ensure that transformation solutions recommendations are comprehensive and meet business objectives. You will engage with multiple layers of contacts within the organization to gain insights into the environment. You will analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge. You will develop cross-functional strategies and solutions, and translate business and technical objectives into prioritized, phased solutions. You will also oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards. Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates leadership to ensure that transformation solutions recommendations are comprehensive and meet business objectives. * Engage with multiple layers of contacts within the organization to gain insights into the environment. * Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge. * Develop cross-functional strategies and solutions. * Translates business and technical objectives into prioritized, phased solutions. * Oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards. * Provide technology/architecture recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing and deployment. * Keep the portfolio current, driving the retirement of legacy solutions/technologies. * Contribute to the design of operational processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with policies and security requirements. * Stay current with new technologies and frameworks and recommend adopting new partners or solution components. * Builds current and future state integration diagrams and views. Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or relevant work experience required. * 10+ years of experience in Software Development, Solutions Architectecture, Solutions Engineering, or Business Systems Analysis. * 5+ years of experience with Application Development and Modernization. Required Skills:
* C#, SQL, JSON, REST API, GitHub (including Actions), Jenkins, Jira. * Designing and supporting multi-tier applications and cloud-based architectures. * Designed and implemented large-scale API & Service bus-based integrations. * Expertise in API scalability, reliability, availability, security, and governance needs. * Implemented API management infrastructure and understands productization of * Implemented API-based workflows and composite APIs. * Expertise in diagramming tools (Visio/LucidChart). * Ability to analyze requirements, recommend technical solutions and write technical specifications. * Ability to efficiently work with executives and internal stakeholders. * Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures. * Project management and leadership skills. * Ability to adapt to changing priorities. * Ability to translate goals and strategies into business solutions. Preferred Skills:
* Cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS). * Experience with Azure API Management and Azure API gateway. * Integration of APIs with service bus, data lake, SaaS, and PaaS components. * Hands-on experience with API design tools. * Message-based and event-driven architectures. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Experience with iterative and test-driven development practice. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Strong understanding of Agile practices, including Scrum. Unique Requirements:
* Travel as needed based on business needs and determined by SHI management. Additional Information:
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $200,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
