About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform radiographic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Identify patient information, label images, and process images to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain records, adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring accurate patient billing.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced training beyond high school in radiologic technology.
  • Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic radiation safety and radiology equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids.
