About the Role

The Senior IT Specialist will be responsible for managing, engineering, operating, and maintaining equipment, systems, and computer programs in support of NAVSEA and PEO IWS missions. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows servers and workstations, user account management, security groups, and group policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure Windows servers and workstations
  • Manage user accounts, security groups, and group policy
  • Conduct backups and system recoveries
  • Configure and manage patching solutions and log collection
  • Provide technical support to onsite users
  • Maintain compliance with DoD Security Technical Configuration Guides (STIGs)
  • Investigate trouble calls, isolate faults, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee daily operations and coordinate team performance
  • Supervise and provide guidance to employees
  • Manage business IT efforts and team schedules
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Seven or more years of experience in systems engineering, administration, and security
  • DoD Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
