Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineering Innovator to join our Home Energy Services team at American Honda Motor Co. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions for home energy management systems, EV charging infrastructure, and other related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new home energy management systems and EV charging solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards for home energy management systems
  • Participate in project development and testing, including app, server, partner, and hardware integration
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for communication/control, product certifications, and reliability testing

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in electrical, mechanical, controls, or systems engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in home IoT, automation, software, or home energy management systems
  • Experience in the residential energy domain, utility programs, and project development
  • Excellent technical, planning, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and device protocols (Modbus/TCP, Modbus/RTU, can bus, Sunspec, IEEE 2030.5, or IEEE 1815)

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role, with 60% of the time spent in the office and 40% remote. Travel is approximately 10% of the time.
