Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Applied Digital. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing safety protocols across all construction activities at our Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and enforcement of safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor adherence to safety protocols and to identify potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with construction managers and contractors to develop site-specific safety plans and strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related issues, facilitating communication between the Applied Digital team and contractors.
  • Investigate and report on all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety training and education programs for site personnel to promote awareness and adherence to safety practices.
  • Ensure all safety documentation is up-to-date, including permits, inspection reports, and injury logs.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and develop site-specific emergency action plans.
  • Assist in the procurement and distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety-related materials.
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review construction documents to ensure that safety requirements are integrated into project plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience is considered and respected.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction safety coordination or safety management in large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence a culture of safety.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in safety management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Data Center or other high-tech facility construction.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 500, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician).
  • Familiarity with safety auditing and risk management.
