Our menu features a wide range of sweet and savory options, including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and cheesecakes. We also offer customized desserts for special occasions.

Job Summary

The Production Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting with the preparation and finishing of our desserts. This includes frosting cakes and cupcakes, scooping cookie dough, assembling pies and cheesecakes, and ensuring that all menu items meet our high standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow all recipes and processes to the letter.
  • Work with a sense of urgency to meet production deadlines.
  • Frost and decorate standard cakes and cupcakes.
  • Operate large equipment, such as ovens and mixers.
  • Scoop cookies and other baked goods.
  • Assist with daily prep, including ensuring accurate weights and measures for all ingredients.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized bakery environment.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred 1 year of commercial kitchen experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accuracy and logical approach to problem-solving.
Environment and Working Conditions

This role operates in a climate-controlled retail environment with occasional exposure to a walk-in cooler. Appropriate cold-weather gear is provided at each location.

Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
