Behavioral Health Coordinator Role

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our team at Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring a Behavioral Health delivery system that meets NCCHC/ACA standards. This will involve working closely with the Regional Manager, Site Administrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist to coordinate total contract services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for administrative staff for discussion of treatment programs and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate the development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and provision of required clinical services for inmates.
  • Supervise the planning, development, and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.
  • Provide clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services.
  • Monitor efforts of Behavioral Health Services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Fully licensed (or license eligible with application pending) to practice psychology or social work in South Carolina.
  • Satisfactory background investigation report.
