About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As an Ambulatory Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Job Summary

The Ambulatory Care Nurse will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures. You will work closely with licensed providers to develop patient-centered plans of care, prescribe interventions, and attain expected outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
  • Collect patient health history and record information in the electronic health record
  • Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans
  • Administer medications, including vaccination, IV therapy, oxygen administration, and wound care
  • Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatment procedures and anesthesia
Clinical Responsibilities
  • SUPPORTS THE COORDINATION, INTEGRATION, COMMUNICATION, IMPLEMENTATION, AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF NURSING PRACTICE AND CLINICAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
  • ENSURES CLINICAL COMPLIANCE WITH PATIENT SAFETY INITIATIVES AND REPORTING
  • SUPPORTS KEY QUALITY INITIATIVES AND MIPS CARE GAP MANAGEMENT TO IMPACT CLINICAL OUTCOME MEASURES
Requirements
  • A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is highly preferred; a Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing requires a minimum of one year experience in conjunction with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
  • Bachelor s degree in Nursing required
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
